Empresas Polar is the largest private company in Venezuela and has an important presence throughout Latin America, with 70,000 employees and exports to 20 countries.
Lorenzo also leads Fundación Empresas Polar, the largest private foundation in Latin America with programs in education, health, and community development.
He is an Ashoka fellow and member of The World Economic Forum, receiving the Poder CNN 2010 “Leadership and Courage Award” and Social Responsibility CEO of the Year by Latin Trade Bravo. He joined the Latin America Conservation Council in 2013.
